Freelance Front-end Web Developers/Designers

Capable of learning the way our CMS is set up and able to write code in keeping with the conventions used. Treat tricky problems with relish, and keep up to date with the ever-changing technologies.

Looking for people to work in-house as part of our team, but also happy to consider remote working.

Required skills

Ability to write good, clean, semantic HTML 5 markup, with an awareness of evolving standards and best practices

Strong CSS3 skills

Ability to use these skills to produce elegant, creative solutions to tricky design requirements

Also desirable, but non-essential, is an ability to write object-oriented JavaScript (we tend to use the Prototype library, so familiarity with that would be an advantage)

Looking for...

Capable of starting with a blank page and creating a range of exciting ideas for how a project can be carried forward across a wide range of applications - from websites and adverts to exhibitions and signage.

Working either in-house as part of our team, or remotely.

Enjoy the discipline of taking an existing style and applying it to a range of items, but also when required creating a new look of your own. Creativity still important, but along with practical details - including good artworking and photoshop skills.
