‘Inspiring the Customer’ is a vital part of delivering a high profile brand like Nottinghamshire based Speedo. We were asked to help them communicate with their teams to show them how to use Visual Merchandising to achieve this in their own stores – and importantly within store-in-store concessions.
Speedo invest a huge amount of time and effort to develop their VM standards, and communicating them to these teams across their global retail presence is a vital commitment. These standards are carefully written to help retail teams within Speedo understand the importance of Visual Merchandising. This understanding then enables the teams to better present their products, and to ensure they deliver the highest customer service standards.
Working closely with their VM team in-house at their Nottingham headquarters, we help deliver the training across the globe, and translate those standards into a digital toolkit that can be tailored to the specific retail team’s store profile, and then easily updated and distributed for each new season’s offering. The standards are carefully designed to be clear and easy to use, and are tailored to work on both desktop devices and the all important mobile devices.
The document is split into easy to navigate sections, with vital information combined with inspiring product photography to bring the lessons to life. Simple ‘Learn and Confirm’ question and answer sections back up each section and help the team make sure they know how to implement what they have learned.
The project has been so successful that it has now been updated over a number of seasons and translated into several European languages, as well as Simplified Chinese for the essential Asian markets.
