Jack Ellis Body Protection Product Literature
Jack Ellis are well know for their high quality range of protective body armour for equestrian sports, and as one of the few UK manufactured vests around, they were keen to use their experience in other ares of body protection and body armour.
The Brief
Working with one of the most respected ballistics experts around, Jack Ellis developed a range of body armour for use in any modern situation where protection from gun or knife attack was required.
A key featiure was that their body armour maintains it protective qualities even when wet, which makes it ideal for overt uniformed use on water for the Navy etc, and also for soldiers and even paramedics in wetter climates.
The product was also light and thin enough for covert use, however, and was therefore also suitable for use under clothes for bodyguards, bouncers and even taxi-drivers.
Our Solution
We needed to take the brand from the simple blunt-trauma injury protection their equestrian product was known for, to a whole new level of confidence for the life-threatening situations faced by these new customers.
The style we chose used bright orange and black to create a strong 'emergency service' feel, and combined this with chewrons and high tech typography to create the urgent professionalism we were aiming for.
A simple folder with inserts enabled a pick and mix approach to suplying information – making sure that whether it was sent to a taxi driver or a Marine, they received the right information but set in the context of the products military capabilities.
The folder was backed by carrying the same style through to advertising, exhibitions and product labelling, as well as a static brochure website.
